Solar heated dream pool in Morro Jable on Fuerteventura
The Canary Island of Fuerteventura is very popular with surfers and water sports enthusiasts due to its year-round wind. 🏄🏽 But it is precisely this wind that cools down the numerous hotel pools in the winter months. 🍃
The apartment complex "Balcon de Jandia", which belongs to the tranquil village of Morro Jable in the south of the island, was also faced with the question of how to heat their dream pool most economically in winter.
The Austrian manager of the apartment complex quickly decided on the modern solar technology "Made in Germany" from SOLAR-RIPP ® in order to make the most of the more than 300 days of sunshine per year on Fuerteventura. The cost-effective LOW-TECH technology is durable, causes hardly any operating costs and quickly pays for itself. It enables sustainable pool heating up to +25°C.🔥
Balcon de Jandia uses 102 square meters of south-facing, vertical wall surfaces, which are ideal as installation areas for the RIPPultimate ® solar absorbers in Z design. These are illuminated by valuable solar energy from morning to afternoon. ☀️ The installation was carried out by the in-house technician Antonio, supported by the precise planning of German engineers.
In order to keep the pressure loss low, the German engineers carried out a sophisticated pressure loss calculation and determined the ideal flow through the hydraulic piping system. 💨 Only a small auxiliary circulation pump with a low 650 watts, which is automatically switched on and off by the SOLAR-RIPP ® solar controller, pumps the pool water through the intelligently ribbed solar hoses.💧 These transfer the heat of the sun's rays directly and without an additional heat exchanger to the swimming water, which is then heated by solar energy.
